First I wanted to make my own forum at freeforums so I made some rules for it, but now I dropped that idea (the idea of running my own forum) and I decided to give you some suggestions for (y)our rules (at least improve your rules a thiny bit).

I know that I as a regular member here shouldn't be interfering in the "rules-business" and that not everything can be stated in the rules but I would still like to make a thiny, thiny suggestion for forum rules.

On Signatures

Advertising is fine as long as its kept to the signature. Advertising topics should be locked and advertising posts should be deleted.

Signatures should be removed if they are inappropriate. User, depending on how inappropriate the signature is, should be warned/or banned.

Some questions...

If someone lies to a moderator/admin, what action would you took?

If a member gets warned twice in a day or if he brakes the same rule twice, should he be banned?

And a suggestion…

Band reviews?

Do you think anyone ever did a band review? You know, like: reviewing band's phases; golden eras, comebacks, style changes…

What do you think? Dumb or OK?

== We do that already, but I kinda thought it went without saying in the rules. You're probably right though, it should be there. Second one really does go without saying.

== Difficult to tell if someone is lying sometimes. Look what happened with the Warhead that went off. It would depend on how bad the lie was, if it directly affected on how we dealt with a forum situation, then there would be consequences.

== probably, but we tend to cross those bridges when we come to them. I don't really want a ton of "do this and get banned" stuff in the rules, I'm expecting the members here to have some common sense.

== Some like article content to me. I'd be up for that going on the Publishing Site, so long as the usual guidelines are followed.

Those articles would go well on the publishing site, anyone who writes them though just has to remember that they must do some really hefty research for it.
