Heavy Metal Haven

This is just a few ideas that I want to put out there about promoting this place freely to get some new members through the door. Take them or leave them.

1. the banner. On the few times I browsed Last.fm (I don't have an account myself) I saw that adg and a few others have it on their profiles, but this can be put many more places.



especially in signitures on other forums.

2. The blog. Let's all get blogger accounts and add ourselves as followers to it. Even though we don't need to because we get the reviews first hand let's help out with its stats in an attempt to get it more noticed. I'm going to see about signing up once I've finished with this post.

3. This one's more aimed at adg directly, that YouTube page still looks very empty.

4. We should also see if we can't get some of the old members back in the door. So if anyone chats a lot of members that stopped coming on YouTube or something, try to encourage them back.

5. also aimed at adg, how about a new part on the portal encouraging people to sign up. The benefits of an account etc.

That's it.

3 and 5 I can do, though obviously I'll need a bit of time for 3.

I'll follow it too and I agree that it would do us much good if everyone did it.

Working on 5 right now, anyone want to add anything?

1. Be a part of an ever growing community of friendly open minded metalheads who have no interest in being elitist.

2. Reviews for albums, old and new regularly being posted. Submissions from members are always accepted and there's no limit on how many people can review the same album.

3. Promote your own band!

4. Post your trade or wanted list on our tradeboard.

5. Moderators who don't abuse their powers.

I took the Transatlantic review off the portal now by the way, since it's pretty old and all. Let the final frontier review be in better view.

Thought of something else I can do. Well I already did it partially, put all my reviews, with links back here on Last.fm and Amazon.

I'll follow the blog, but I lost contact with practically everyone I ever spoke to on YT who isn't already here so no luck there really.

I'll encourage Xeno to post more though.
