Official Heavy Metal Haven Thrash Metal Recommendation Thread.

Thrash isn't exactly my cup of tea so I'm not really the person to help you. I only like a handful as it is and most of those come from the 80's. In fact the only band of that ilk I have any sort of liking for that are fairly new is Evile, the rest of my thrash taste lies with the usuals, old Metallica, Megadeth and Testament. Maybe someone else can give you some more bands.

Sodom is my 2nd favourite Thrash Metal band (after Megadeth). You probably know them already but everything except Agent Orange is pretty underrated. Pretty much all their albums are great, they never really changed their style although some albums have elements of Death Metal, Black Metal or Crossover.
Start with Persecution Mania and Obsessed By Cruelty.

My favorite thrash metal bands are Realm,Morbid Saint,Demolition Hammer,Mekong Delta,Watchtower and Coroner. If you like thrash metal you should look them all up.

You quoted my favourite lyrics. I F*CKIN' LOVE early Sodom.

"Rites of death, return to hell. I am Satan's child, attack with spell!!!"

I don't listen to as much thrash as I used to but, when I do, I like early Metallica and Megedeth. I've also been getting into Testament.
